**February 7 Navigation – Part Two.
Covers traditional chart and compass navigation techniques for course planning. While most of us rely on electronic navigation systems to guide us, having some
knowledge of traditional skills presented in these sessions can be a safety advantage.

**February 28 (two topic session)
Wet and Windy…
Ideal boating conditions are not always a given on our Coast. The weather can change and you may be dealing with rougher seas, having to reduce sail/power while keeping the crew safe. Knowledge and experience with these conditions can help prepare you for a safer passage.

Practical Boating …
Learning new skills and sharing ideas is an important part of your boating experience.
Come and contribute your skills and learn from others on how to make your boating journeys more successful.

**March 14 (two topic session)
Anchoring…
We all know how to anchor …right ? Anchoring can be a challenging manoeuvre for many boaters, so they avoid doing so.
This session will cover the basics and we will cover any questions you have.

Skills Challenge…
A fun opportunity test yourself on a variety of boating skills.

**March 28 Preparing for the Cruising Season
We will look at cruise planning- including boat preparation, charting your course, what personal gear to take
and victualling (food and beverage) .

April 4 Celestial Navigation (9 to 1)
Venue, Chaster Beach House.
Cost, $40 ($20 if refresher).
Proceeds to Sunshine Coast Squadron.
